Comune Di Milano is inspired by the city of Milano itself. Milan is a city of hundreds of years of history and culture, playing a prominent role in the renaissance period, where the Milanese led the way in fashion and cultural developments. The renaissance is considered among many to be Milan’s peak, therefore I have chosen to use the renaissance as my historical research. Milan is a bustling, modern metropolis as well, with vibrant nightlife and buzz in every street corner. The city is grungy and covered in graffiti, maintaining an air of urban chic that acts as the perfect counterpoint to my renaissance-inspired designs.
